Not only have a got a solo show coming up and a Open Studios event on the 17&18th of June, I’ve also been learning how to silkscreen thanks to a Talent Development Bursary. Two lessons down and loads of things learnt! Its been really great trying out a brand new process and during the last lesson I learnt how to produce a monotype this is where you apply layers and blobs of acrylic mixed with a medium to the surface of the silkscreen and simply drag the squeegee across the screen. What you get is a unique print no two monotypes are the same and that really excites me. Plus you get to play with as many colours as you like. Please see images below.
